INTRODUCTION

Lookeast Institute of Nursing & Health Sciences, Village Porakuchi Nalbari is established in the year 2025 under the aegis of Lookeast Eduventures Foundation, a company registered under section 8 of IT Act having its registered office at Alternative Road Nalbari.

In conjunction with the parent hospital, the school of Nursing will be a model in its field, with the aim to improve the health status of the people of this region. The School of Nursing would impart quality training to the students, to convert them into professionals, who would render service excellence in their practice and conduct research and develop models for healthcare delivery to meet the needs of the society.

MISSION

We at Lookeast Institute of Nursing & Health Sciences aims at imparting quality nursing training to eligible women from different sections of society irrespective of cast, creed and religion in a safe and conductive environment for learning and all-round development.

We have quality human resources and best infrastructure for learning. The hospital attachment for clinical practices are excellent avenues for learning and providing care and practice the noble profession of nursing. The curriculum of GNM is designed to achieve high level of scientific knowledge to address caring in Physical, mental, social and spiritual aspects of fellow human beings. To keep pace with modern technology GNM curriculum has extensive exposure to computer education and information technologhy.

PHILOSOPHY

Lookeast Institute of Nursing & Health Sciences believes that Nursing is care, service, education and administration. Nursing is the backbone of healthcare system. We believe in empowering nursing to achieve higher standards of healthcare through education and practice with enhanced knowledge, attitude and skill.

We respect basic human values irrespective of colour, cast, creed and religion. The faculty and tutor of the school accept the responsibility of helping the students to adjust to new situations and provide them with opportunity, which contributes towards development of the student as a person, responsible citizen & competentnurses.
